Hydro Therapy

“Hydrotherapy or Aquatic Physiotherapy is a specific physiotherapy technique which combines the properties of water with the knowledge of skills of the therapist, to make treatment more effective and to improve the outcome of the rehabilitation process. Hydrotherapy is a physiotherapy treatment modality carried out in water by physiotherapist.”

Maitland Physiotherapy and Sports Injuries utilises several of the heated pools in the region to design demonstrate and progress exercise programs for clients. Hydrotherapy can be extremely useful when land based exercises are difficult to tolerate early after injury. It can also provide useful maintentce exercises for chronic conditions.
